Wolfenstein – Enemy Territory is by far the best free First Person Shooter game out there and has a vibrant community that keeps it alive. It definitely deserves a dedicated blog so I started this one back in January 2007 (moved to my own hosting in June) with the goal to provide news, information, help and tips to Wolfenstein – Enemy Territory gamers and server administrators.
I used to not understand why people like to play shooter games…until I started playing Enemy Territory sometime in 2004. The game is highly addictive and dragged me into it. Playing on-line, interacting with other gamers around the world add to the enjoyment of having a laugh and winning a map or two.
Somewhere along the way, having gotten involved with ET communities and other Enemy Territory lovers, I decided to get into server setup and administration. Starting from scratch was hard….how do you set up the server, make the game enjoyable, enforce rules, bring people on the server….Although I had some help, I had to read manuals, forums, FAQs etc etc etc.
I am hoping that through this blog I can offer some of my knowledge and exprerience to new server administrators and gamers but also to explore new ways of making gaming more enjoyable and enhancing the whole experience that we have in this virtual world.
